USH Hosts Workshop on VMTS and Curriculum Development

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Universitas Sugeng Hartono (USH) held a Workshop on Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMTS) and Curriculum Development at the campus auditorium. The event began at 10:00 AM and continued until completion, attended by distinguished guests including the Regent of Sukoharjo, Hj. Etik Suryani, S.E., M.M., who was represented by Assistant I for Government and Welfare Affairs, Mr. Agustinus Setiyono, S.Sos, M.H., along with other local officials.

Purpose of the Workshop

The workshop aimed to refine the VMTS and update the curriculum for the following faculties and study programs:

Faculty of Technology, Law, and Business:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Digital Business
  • Bachelor of Business Law
  • Bachelor of International Business Management

Faculty of Food and Health Sciences:

  • Bachelor of Food Technology
  • Bachelor of Nutrition

The event began with an opening ceremony, prayer, the singing of the Indonesian national anthem and the USH anthem. Chairman of Indriati Foundation, Mr. Tan Saw Hwa, delivered the welcome speech, followed by remarks and direction from Mr. Agustinus Setiyono, S.Sos., M.H. on behalf of the Regent.

Presentation and Group Discussions

USH Rector, delivered a presentation highlighting the university’s profile, including its vision, mission, and achievements. This was followed by a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) session involving key stakeholders from various organizations and institutions, including:

  • Forum Manajemen Indonesia (Central Java Chapter)
  • APTIKOM (Association of Informatics and Computer Science Higher Education)
  • PATPI (Indonesian Food Technology Experts Association)
  • APIHI (Association of Law Lecturers and Researchers)
  • APBISDI (Digital Business Lecturers Association)
  • PERSAGI (Indonesian Nutritionists Association)
  • Indonesian Advocates Association – Officium Nobile
  • Sukoharjo District Government Officials (e.g., Head of Communication & Informatics, Head of Health, Head of Food Security)
  • Village Head of Madegondo, Grogol
  • Chairman of Solo Community Association (PMS)
  • HIPMI Sukoharjo
  • Director of Indriati Hospital Solo Baru
  • Director of Independent Duniatex Group
  • Head of Mandiri Bank Surakarta Branch
  • Chief Judges of Sukoharjo Religious and District Courts

After a break for lunch, prayer, and rest, the second FGD session resumed. The discussions were highly productive and generated numerous constructive ideas for improving the university’s VMTS and curriculum.

The workshop concluded with a hopeful closing. Universitas Sugeng Hartono firmly believes that the outcomes of this workshop and FGDs will bring significant improvements to the institution’s strategic direction and academic structure.
