Universitas Sugeng Hartono Signs International Collaboration with Wuhan Technical University and Sinolink Education Consultant

Universitas Sugeng Hartono (USH) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wuhan Technical University (China) and PT Sinolink Education Consultant (Indonesia). The signing ceremony took place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, as a strategic initiative to expand international networks in the fields of education, research, community service, and human resource development.

Through this collaboration, the three parties have agreed to establish an integrated, synergistic, and sustainable partnership. The scope of the MoU includes the implementation of educational and teaching activities, joint research, community service programs, academic exchanges, seminars, workshops, as well as initiatives aimed at enhancing the competence and capacity of human resources.

The Rector of Universitas Sugeng Hartono, Assoc. Prof. Jacob F.N. Dethan, Ph.D., stated that this partnership aligns with USH’s vision to become an internationally recognized university by 2028.

“This collaboration not only opens opportunities for academic exchange, but also strengthens the quality of human resources and reinforces the university’s tangible contribution at the global level,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector of Wuhan Technical University, Prof. Yang Xudong, Ph.D., reaffirmed his institution’s strong commitment to expanding its international network as part of its efforts to enhance the quality of the university’s core pillars: education, research, and community engagement.

“Strengthening international collaboration is essential to advancing the tri dharma of higher education. We believe that through partnerships like this, we can foster innovation, share knowledge, and make a meaningful impact across borders,” Prof. Yang stated.

Echoing that sentiment, Mr. Xie Tianyi, Director of PT Sinolink Education Consultant, expressed his full support for the initiative.
“We are proud to serve as a bridge in this cross-border collaboration. Our role is to ensure that the synergy between institutions continues to grow and deliver long-term benefits for all parties involved,” he said.
