Pencak Silat Sports Student Activity Unit (UKM)
The Pencak Silat Sports Student Activity Unit is a student organization that accommodates students’ interests and talents in Pencak Silat, Indonesia’s traditional martial art. This unit serves as a gathering place for various silat schools that uphold the values of sportsmanship, brotherhood, and cultural preservation.
This UKM includes several renowned Pencak Silat schools, each with its own history and unique characteristics, such as:
- PSNU Pagar Nusa (Pencak Silat Nahdlatul Ulama)
- PSHT (Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate)
- PSHW (Persaudaraan Setia Hati Winongo)
- IKSPI Kera Sakti (Ikatan Keluarga Silat Putra Indonesia)
- Persinas ASAD (National Martial Arts School for Strength, Health, Safety, and Peace)
- Tapak Suci Putera Muhammadiyah
Through regular training, competitions, and self-defense workshops, this organization not only enhances physical strength and martial arts skills but also instills discipline, confidence, and unity among students across different silat traditions.






Our Activity
The Pencak Silat Student Club holds regular training sessions twice a week to develop physical strength, technique, and unity among its members:
Monday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Training sessions include warm-ups, basic movement drills, self-defense techniques, sparring, and physical-mental strengthening. Sessions are guided by trainers and supported by senior members from each affiliated martial arts school.

As part of its commitment to developing student potential and competitiveness in traditional martial arts, the Pencak Silat Student Club has actively participated in various competitions at both regional and national levels.

Sebelas Maret Open I National Pencak Silat Championship
The club took part in this national-level competition organized by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). The event served as a platform for martial artists from various universities across Indonesia to connect and test their skills and mental resilience in an official competitive setting.
Central Java Provincial Student Sports Week (POMPROV) 2025
In this prestigious provincial-level event, the Pencak Silat Student Club proudly represented the university as part of the student sports contingent. Participation in POMPROV reflects the club’s active role not only on campus but also in external competitions.
Participation in such championships aims to strengthen inter-school silat networks, build strong student character, and preserve Pencak Silat as a proud cultural heritage of Indonesia.
