Universitas Sugeng Hartono (USH) officially opened the field assessment for the accreditation of its Digital Business Study Program on November 4–5, 2024. The event, held at the USH campus, aimed to evaluate the program’s quality to meet both national and international education standards. The assessment was conducted by assessors from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA).
USH Rector, Assoc. Prof. Jacob F. N. Dethan, S.T., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized the importance of accreditation as a key step in maintaining academic excellence and enhancing the competitiveness of study programs at the national level.
“Accreditation is not just a formality—it’s a strategic effort to ensure our programs meet the highest standards of quality and relevance,” he stated.
The Head of the Digital Business Study Program, Mrs. Fitria, also addressed the audience. She highlighted how valuable the field assessment is in improving the program.
“This assessment is a strategic step for our study program. By receiving direct feedback from experienced assessors, we can refine and enhance the quality of education so that our graduates possess strong and relevant competencies aligned with industry needs in the digital era,” she explained.
Dean Highlights Digital Business Program’s Strengths During Accreditation Assessment
The Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Law, and Business, Mrs. Nimas Ratna Sari, M.Sc., also attended the opening of the field assessment and presented the vision, mission, and key achievements of the Digital Business Study Program. She emphasized that the assessment serves as a valuable opportunity to strengthen the program, which has become one of the faculty’s flagship offerings.
“We are committed to ensuring that the Digital Business Study Program produces graduates with not only strong academic abilities but also practical skills that prepare them to face the dynamic challenges of the digital business world,” stated Nimas Ratna Sari.

Head of Digital Business Program Emphasizes Innovation-Driven Curriculum and Industry Collaboration
Mrs. Graceilla Seraphim Budiono, S.E., M.B.A., Head of the Digital Business Study Program, explained that the program focuses on developing skills in technology, innovation, and digital entrepreneurship. During her presentation, she emphasized the program’s dynamic curriculum, which integrates both business and technology aspects to give students a comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem.
“We have designed a curriculum that emphasizes innovation and the latest technological developments. We also collaborate with various industry partners to provide students with real-world experiences through hands-on projects and direct internships in the digital industry,” she explained.
To carry out the assessment, LAMEMBA appointed two expert assessors in the fields of business and management. Dr. Fitri Santi, S.E., M.S.M. from Universitas Bengkulu brought her extensive experience in managing accreditation processes for economics and management programs. Meanwhile, Dr. Roni Kambara, S.T., M.M. from Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa contributed his expertise in digital business curriculum development and higher education quality enhancement.

The assessors conducted a series of assessment stages, including document evaluation, data verification, direct observation, and interviews with various stakeholders such as university leaders, lecturers, students, and administrative staff. They thoroughly evaluated key aspects of the Digital Business Program—such as its vision and mission, curriculum design, faculty qualifications, learning facilities, and governance system—to ensure the program meets LAMEMBA’s accreditation standards.
Assessors Interview Students to Evaluate Learning Experience and Curriculum Relevance
During the assessment, the LAMEMBA assessors interviewed students of the Digital Business Program to gain insights into their learning experiences, satisfaction with the curriculum, and the practical relevance of the courses to the digital industry. The students actively shared their perspectives on teaching methods, internship opportunities, and the program’s support in preparing them for digital entrepreneurship and the job market.
In addition to interviews, the assessors conducted an in-depth observation of the facilities used by the Digital Business Program at Universitas Sugeng Hartono. They visited key infrastructure, including the computer laboratory, digital business simulation center, and the innovation and business incubation hub—where students actively develop technology-driven business ideas.
These well-equipped facilities became a crucial evaluation point in the accreditation process, as they reflect the university’s strong commitment to building a learning ecosystem aligned with Industry 4.0 demands.

Through this assessment, Universitas Sugeng Hartono aims to elevate the accreditation status of its Digital Business Program. By achieving a higher accreditation level, the university expects to enhance the quality and competitiveness of its graduates.
This recognition will serve as concrete evidence that the Digital Business Program consistently delivers high-quality education that aligns with current industry trends. Ultimately, it reinforces Universitas Sugeng Hartono’s position as a leading institution in producing top-tier digital business professionals.
Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Law, and Business, Nimas Ratna Sari, M.Kom., expressed her optimism regarding the accreditation process.
“Through this field assessment, we aim for the Digital Business Program to achieve an ‘Excellent’ accreditation status, which will significantly enhance its appeal to prospective students and industry partners,” she explained. “We are committed to producing graduates who are not only academically capable but also ready to become innovators and adaptable business professionals in today’s ever-evolving digital world.”
