Expo Produk KKN USH Showcases Innovation and Community Empowerment in Madegondo

Sukoharjo, August 26, 2025 – Universitas Sugeng Hartono (USH) successfully hosted the Community Service Program (KKN) Product Expo along with the official closing ceremony of the student program in Madegondo Subdistrict on Monday, August 25, 2025. This event marked the culmination of one month of community engagement and empowerment initiatives led by USH students.

During the expo, KKN students showcased a wide variety of innovative products created through mentorship and community empowerment programs. These ranged from local food processing innovations, handicrafts, creative products, to digitalization initiatives for small businesses (UMKM). The presence of the local community and village officials added vibrancy to the event, which also served as an appreciation moment for the students’ contribution to unlocking Madegondo’s local potential.

Strong Support from USH Leadership

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Jacob Febryadi Nithanel Dethan, S.T., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., Rector of Universitas Sugeng Hartono, expressed his high appreciation to the students, academic supervisors, and the people of Madegondo for their synergy in making the KKN program a success.

“The KKN program is not only a valuable learning platform for students but also a concrete contribution of the university to regional development. Through product innovation and empowerment programs, USH hopes to create a sustainable positive impact for the people of Madegondo,” he said.

Recognition from Local Government

At the same event, the Subdistrict Head of Madegondo thanked Universitas Sugeng Hartono for the contribution of its students in encouraging entrepreneurship, creativity, and community capacity building.

The student withdrawal ceremony was marked by a symbolic handover from the university to the subdistrict government, officially closing the program. Students from various study programs completed their community service journey in Madegondo.

Commitment Toward International Recognition

With the conclusion of this event, Universitas Sugeng Hartono reaffirmed its commitment to continuous collaboration with local government, business sectors, and the community. This aligns with USH’s vision to become an internationally recognized university by 2028.
