Universitas Sugeng Hartono Officially Sends Off Students for KKN 2025Carrying the Theme “Technology-Based Healthy and Smart Villages”

Sukoharjo, August 4, 2025 – Universitas Sugeng Hartono officially launched the 2025 Community Service Program (KKN), sending students from the Digital Business, Information Technology, and Nutrition study programs to serve in local communities. The event took place at the Grogol Subdistrict Office, Sukoharjo, carrying the theme “Smart and Healthy Village with Technology.”

This KKN program reflects the university’s real contribution to community development through technology, education, and health. Students are expected to apply the knowledge gained during their studies directly in the community while enhancing their collaboration, social responsibility, and innovation skills.

Message from the Rector of Universitas Sugeng Hartono

The Rector, Assoc. Prof. Jacob F. N. Dethan, S.T., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized that this year’s KKN is designed to address the challenges of the times, where technology and health are key to rural progress.

“We hope our students will not only implement their knowledge but also adapt, innovate, and empower communities to create more advanced and self-reliant villages,” he said.

Objectives of KKN 2025

Through this program, students will:

  • Apply appropriate technology to support rural economies.
  • Improve villagers’ digital literacy.
  • Develop sustainable and independent village programs.
