Karanganyar, 25 July 2025 – In an effort to bolster local food-based micro, small, and medium enterprises, Universitas Sugeng Hartono (USH) teamed up with SMA Negeri Tawangmangu for a cross-disciplinary initiative titled “Collaboration Between Nutrition (Food Processing) and Digital Products (Branding & Content)”, held at SMA Negeri Tawangmangu in Karanganyar. The event aimed to integrate food science, nutrition, digital skills, and business law as strategic foundations for strengthening local food SMEs.

Program Themes & Learning Objectives
Moreover, students explored themes such as:
- “Optimizing SME Business via Branding, Marketplaces & Legal Protection”
- “Local Taste, Gen Z Style: Modern Creativity from Local Foods.”
They learned how to create strong product brands, promote via digital platforms, and protect innovations under legal frameworks.

Expert-Led Interactive Sessions
In her opening remarks, Dean Nimas Ratna Sari of the Faculty of Technology, Law & Business at USH explained that the program addressed nutrition content, food innovation, visual design, storytelling, and digital distribution.
“We want young people and SME actors to understand that local food can become trending if packaged correctly and in a contemporary style.”
Additionally, USH brought experts in food technology, nutrition, visual communication, digital marketing, and intellectual property. They led hands-on sessions covering packaging design, social media strategies, and trademark registration.

Meanwhile, the Head of SMA Negeri Tawangmangu praised the collaboration, noting it aligns with current youth needs: academic excellence plus creativity and competitiveness.

“Creating product content turned out to be fun. Now I feel motivated to sell my region’s traditional snacks via Instagram.”
